Summary
This free remote session is an introduction to what an ‘outstanding’ Science lesson should look like. It will involve observing ‘outstanding science questioning’ in the classroom and reviewing the strategies that teachers use to keep students fully engaged and motivated. This training will also look at a range of different science starter activities and science mini-plenaries that can be used in the classroom. Delivered by an experienced science facilitator who has an intimate knowledge of the teacher training process, this session is suitable for ITT students – as well as those early in their teaching career who would like a refresher!

Outcomes
You will:-

- Gain an understanding of the different activities that can take place in a science classroom to engage and motivate students
- Be able to try out some new activities in science lessons that you have accessed from the course
- Have a deeper knowledge of how teachers can assess and review learning through a range of subject specific activities
