Summary
With the impact of COVID, the research is telling us that scientific talking and writing has been affected for learners. There is also research evidence to support improved pupil progress in science if a structured approach to developing talk in classrooms. We will also consider how effective talk supports pupils to develop better writing in science. This session will enable experienced practitioners to reflect on the latest research and how their current practice could be fine tuned to inform classroom practice which increases pupils outcomes in science.
