Save Earth

This Save Earth resource presents a critical path analysis problem. It is designed to be used as an additional resource and fun example when teaching critical path analysis. Students are required to interpret and communicate solutions in the context of the original problem, understand, interpret and extract information from diagrams and construct mathematical diagrams to solve problems. Students are asked to complete a precedence table for a given activity network, construct, represent and interpret a precedence/activity network and use critical path analysis to interpret outcomes.  To solve to problem students have to determine the earliest and latest start and finish times for an activity network, identify critical activities, critical paths and the float of non-critical activities and then refine models and understand the implications of possible changes in the context of critical path analysis.
