Wales only: A one day, face to face course offering offering a day of workshops and discussions for secondary teachers of science, technicians, newly qualified teachers, trainee teachers, and in particular, those developing new curriculums and/or working with classes in progression step 4 (approx. KS3).
Summary
The Royal Society of Chemistry in partnership with the Association of Science Educators, Institute of Physics and STEM Learning Ltd are offering a day of workshops and discussions for teachers of science. This fully funded event is aimed at secondary science teachers, technicians, newly qualified teachers, trainee teachers, and would be of most benefit to those developing new curriculums and/or working with classes in progression step 4 (approx. KS3).

Outcomes
By the end of the day, you will:
- be familiar with our curriculum planning support documents (progression step 4) and how these can be used alongside a context (like colourful copper) to design an engaging cross-curricular experience for your learners
- have experienced a range of activities and practicals to help stimulate learners’ enthusiasm for science
- know more about current and ongoing scientific research in Wales, with a focus on sustainability research and associated careers
- have had the opportunity to network and collaborate with other science teachers.
