Summary
This course will explore and summarise the recommendations from the EEF's SEN in mainstream schools guidance report, and the Whole School SEND teacher handbook, in a science context. Over the two hours we will exemplify and provide an overview of strategies to use in the secondary science classroom to support pupils with SEN. Themes will include:
- Creating an inclusive environment
- Strategies to scaffold learning
- Evidence informed teaching strategies
- Working effectively with Teaching Assistants
