Summary
This course examines the latest developments in primary science assessment using examples of practical science activities, and will take into account the recent Ofsted recommendations for science teaching.
Teachers and subject leaders will understand the role of both formative and summative assessment in primary science and know how to implement them in their schools. It explores strategies for assessment and develops confidence to make reliable teacher assessment of learning in science and identify children's next steps.
You will be given useful recommendations for key assessment resources and materials, mostly free to schools.
