Summary

Explore how Artificial Intelligence (AI) may be linked to aspects of the primary computing curriculum, supporting creativity, digital literacy, and the use of information technology.

This course will support you in developing a basic understanding of what AI is and how it is used in everyday life. It will help ensure that you provide correct information on AI and are able to answer questions that primary-age children may have around AI.

This course will also support you in understanding the place of AI in the primary computing curriculum and how AI impacts children's learning of computing. This will involve exploring how AI links to the computing curriculum and looking at how to incorporate it into existing lesson materials and approaches in digital literacy and information technology supporting learners to become competent, and responsible users of technology.

You will also consider how best to develop children’s ability to become discerning users of online content when considering the impact of AI generated materials.
