How it works: the hovercraft

THE HOVERCRAFT Vintage Ladybird Book HOW IT WORKS 654 First Edition Matte Hardback 1969

The Hovercraft is a relatively new form of transport - quite different from a wheeled vehicle, ship or aeroplane - yet combining many of the capabilities of all three. The main features of hovercraft design and their method of operation are described in this book with superb colour illustrations and a text which is easy to understand. Modern air cushion vehicles are illustrated as are some other applications of the air cushion principle.
