What to do with dice

Most schools and homes have familiar resources such as, playing cards, dice, dominoes and counters. 'What to do with...' cards include 100 ideas for teachers or parents, to creatively use these familiar resources to support the practice of mathematical concepts and challenges.

The cards contain a range of activities from individual practice to group activities and paired or group games. They are an ideal resource for teaching assistants to use with groups or for teachers to use with the whole class. Some of the activities may be used as homework to encourage game playing and practice of mental skills at home and support individual target setting. Activities and games included are suitable KS1 and KS2.
