Engineering Maths First Aid Kit

Mathcentre provide these resources which cover a selection of the mathematics used in the field of engineering and include working with Fractions, aspects of Algebra and Arithmetic, through to Differentiation, Integration, Matrices and Complex Numbers.

They aim to offer support to students, in the early stages of their degree programmes in engineering, who may have gaps in their mathematical knowledge which could impede their progress. These resources are designed to outline techniques or formula which students can use independently to revise a topic briefly, and then complete a few simple practice exercises. They were developed by Tony Croft who has used help leaflets similar to these in the Mathematics Learning Support Centre at Loughborough University.

The resources target Post 16 students, as they are a useful revision of key mathematical principles but some would be useful for students at Key Stage Three onwards.
