This project allows children to set up a themed restaurant business and design, make and market a range of dishes that feature a British food as their main ingredient. This project provides a range of opportunities to enhance Year 6 National Curriculum for:

  • Science; focusing on the circulatory system, lifestyle choices and their impact on health, working scientifically, electricity. 
  • Maths; looking specifically survey design, calculating with money, applying calculation methods to multi-step problems, measurement and fractions.
  • Design Technology; allowing pupils the opportunity to design and make packaging and produce food using food technology skills.
  • English; Writing in for a range of audiences and purposes.
