Volume 2 of Applied Mathematics completes a full two-year course in Mechanics in conjunction with Volume 1. It caters for the mechanics section of such advanced level schemes as the University of London Syllabus 'D' in Further Mathematics, as well as completing the work necessary for the applied Mathematics syllabuses of most examining boards. An additional special feature of this volume (which will extend the book's potential to a wider range of advanced courses) is the very full analysis of vector algebra, and the use of vector methods in solving a wide range of problems.
