Interactive Practicals: Science Study Guide
This study guide, from the National Strategies, offers tried and tested practical suggestions for you to use in the classroom when considering purposeful practical work in science. The suggestions draw upon the academic research given in Strengthening Teaching and Learning in Science Through Different Pedagogies and adds specific advice relevant for use in the laboratory.
The guide stresses the importance of practical work to the study of science, improving students' knowledge and understanding of scientific concepts and processes. A number of tasks and case studies are included.
