Mathematics: GCSE Graded Assessments

Each file in this resource begins by asking: What grade are you...? There then follows a series of questions on the given topic with an indication of the level of difficulty of each question by means of a GCSE grade assigned to that question. The final pages supply the answers to the questions

Basic algebra contain questions at grades F to C covering simplifying expressions, substitution, multiplying out brackets, simple factorisation and changing the subject of the formula.

Fractions, decimals and percentages contains questions at grades F to C covering conversion between fractions, decimals and percentages, ordering decimals, dealing with money, multiplying decimals, expressing one number as a percentage of another and identifying which fractions will be recurring when expressed as a decimal.

Surds and indices contains questions at grades D to A* covering evaluating expressions containing powers and roots, leaving answers in index form, evaluating expressions containing negative and fractional indices, manipulation of surds and rationalising a denominator.

Pythagoras and trigonometry contains questions at grades D to A* covering Pythagoras: finding the missing area and finding the missing side, trigonometry: finding the missing side and finding the missing angle and problems in three dimensions.
