Promoting Innovation through Practical STEM Based Activities
With the introduction of the revised National Curriculum programmes of study, one of the Hampshire Leading Mathematics Teachers’ (LMT) core groups decided to focus on activities to promote cross-curricular STEM work in schools.
Mathematics departments tend to work in isolation and the LMTs first objective was to try cross-curricular activities and discuss the successes, merits and pitfalls of each. The intended outcome was a bank of ideas, presented in a format that teachers could then try in their own settings.
