Fraction Code

This activity requires students to be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide fractions. Each letter of the alphabet is represented by a fraction. Students perform calculations, the answers to which are converted into code words. Questions are in three groups: addition and subtraction of fractions, multiplication and division of fractions then the four rules applied to mixed numbers. The resource contains a student hand out and teachers' notes with answers. This resource is part of the Churchill Maths Activities collection.
