Long Multiplication - Key Stage Two

This series of interactive excel sheets aimed at Key Stage Two students explores long multiplication. Answers can be checked each time and new questions generated at the click of a button.

The first three sheets look at multiplying two, three or four-digit numbers by a single digit. The first three sheets demonstrate the vertical column method. Digits can be revealed one at a time, including the values ‘carried’ over. The fourth sheet contains a range of differentiated questions for students to attempt.

The second part of this excel file explores multiplying two, three and four-digit numbers by a two-digit number. The final sheet contains another range of differentiated questions for students to attempt.

Note:
This program was designed to be viewed on a screen with a resolution of 1024 x 768. Users may have to adjust the resolution of their screen for the pages to display as was originally intended. The program uses macros which need to be enabled on the users machine.
