Smart Sensor Communications

This video, from the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET), features physiotherapist Jeroen Bergman who works with smart sensors at Charing Cross Hospital. He explains how a variety of sensors are used to analyse patients’ movements. Development work is looking at how costs can be reduced by integrating sensors into clothing. Medical student, Ankur Khajuria explains how patients can return home wearing the sensors whilst data is being collected. Jeroen explains the need to be creative in STEM subjects in order to solve the problems posed in his work.
