Year 6 - stage 2

This resource focuses on the Year 6 science curriculum supporting pupils to identify and name the main parts of the human circulatory system, describe the functions of the heart, blood vessels and blood and to investigate the effect of exercise on heart rate. Through this lesson plan and PowerPoint presentation children will be given the opportunity to work scientifically to design and carry out their own investigation to explore the question “What effect does exercise have on our heart?” This session is the second in a ten session long STEM project provided by NFU Education.
