Generator effect
These diagnostic questions and response activities (contained in the zip file) support students in being able to:
- Describe what happens when a wire moves relative to a permanent magnet.
- Describe what happens when a magnet moves relative to a coil of wire.
- Explain how different factors affect the size and direction of an induced current.
- Compare induced current and induced potential difference.
- Apply understanding to explain how an ac generator works.
