Making characters from simple shapes

This resource supports mathematical understanding by making representations of characters from books using basic shapes.

Pupils will design a two-dimensional image for character from a book, using basic shapes. This teaching resource could be used as a one-off lesson activity to reinforce understanding of basic shapes or to develop designing and construction skills. Alternatively, it could be used as an engagement activity, to support pupils with literacy.
