How Scary Should a Calendar Be?

One of the units from the Nuffield Primary Solutions in Design and Technology materials in which students design and make a calendar illustrated with monsters, one for each month of the year. Each monster is designed and produced by a team of children using suitable computer software. The calendar must be made to meet the preferences of the users who might be the class themselves or some other group in the school. Suitable monster parts can be created using drawing software which is simple enough for Key Stage One and available to download free from the drawing gamemaker website. The materials can be downloaded either in full colour or in grey-scale so that the most appropriate version can be selected for print.
