Calculation Games for Students Aged 11-13
A selection of games published by BEAM for teachers of Key Stage Three mathematics. They include challenging problems and puzzles which help students to consolidate their mathematical understanding.
The activities and their mathematical content are:
*Choose and divide - division using decimals
*Choices - multiplication
*Difference add - finding differences
*Lucky nines - adding and doubling
*Multiplication challenge - multiplication and division
*Multiply - multiplication puzzle
*Remainders - dividing by 6
*Roll two dice - subtracting and dividing
*Times targets - multiplication
*Which digits - reaching a target number by adding
