Mathematics Quality and Assessment Reports: Key Stage Three Standards Reports 2000-2002

These reports from QCA evaluate the National Assessments at Key Stage Three. Their purpose is to provide schools and those involved in the training of teachers with detailed information about student responses to the National Curriculum tests.

The information in this report gives a unique insight into performance for the years 2001-02 across England and draws out important implications for teaching and learning. Schools could use this information as a yardstick against which to compare their own students' performance.

Each report includes the national results for that year, key findings, a more detailed description of perfomance in selected aspects of mathematics with examples of students responses both correct and incorrect, and concludes with a summary of implications for teaching and learning.
