Primary Science Lab Book's public profile

Since completing my PGCE course I have had many wonderful opportunities and have taught in 4 wonderfully different schools. I have worked in a single-sex grammar school, two suburban converter-academies and an inner-city comprehensive school. I have also recently completed my Masters degree in Education with the Institute of Education, UCL. In 2018 I made the big leap from working as a Head of Science in a large secondary comprehensive in Barnet to become a Head of Science & STEAM Coordinator in an independent preparatory school in Kensington. Our school has changed its name and moved to wonderful new premises in the 2020-2021 academic year and I am incredibly excited about what we can achieve in this new adventure.

I have learnt an incredible amount in every school I have worked in, and been inspired by numerous people working in these schools. Teaching has become more than just a job for me, it is my passion. I have realised that it is one of the few things in life that I am actually half competent at. I couldn't really do anything else, and wouldn't want to be anything else either. I am happily stuck with teaching, and hopefully teaching is happily stuck with me.
