Nuffield Secondary Science: Theme 5 - Extension of Sense Perception
This Nuffield Secondary Science theme explores the devices that can be used to extend the range of sensitivity of the human senses.
Areas for investigation
The information in the theme book provides detailed practical advice and guidance related to a wide range of investigations. In this theme the broad areas include:
*the devices people can use to extend the range of their senses and to detect phenomena which have no direct effect on the senses
*sound as a means of communication and sources of music and noise
*the use of film cameras to form and record images
*telephones, radios and the importance of transistors in circuits.
