Triple Science Case Study: Summary of Key Findings From a Range of Schools
From triple science support, this 2007 report summarises the main findings from a number of case studies of how schools tackled the introduction of triple science and is intended to help other schools with their triple science GCSE provision. It discusses the overall issues that schools report (such as finding the time in the curriculum, selecting students, and producing a scheme that enables routes to the various GCSE qualifications to be offered to all students) and provides advice on these and other topics.
Two of the case studies referred to are:
• Queensmead School (Hillingdon) where there is a discussion of teachers teaching outside their own specialism, and
• Bridgemary School (Gosport) with a discussion of how the school teaches GCSE triple science in Year Nine.
Note
This resource has been included in this collection for teachers’ use, however it may contain some information, particularly relating to Government policy, which is now out of date.
