Pedagogy and Practice: Teaching and Learning in Secondary Schools Unit 17 - Developing Effective Learners
This study unit offers some practical strategies that teachers, particularly those who are newly qualified (NQTs) can use to develop effective learners - students who have the skills to learn on their own and can work independently. The resource includes practical tips and tasks, case studies a summary of the research and some suggestions for ‘next steps’ and further reading. The unit also encourages evaluation and 'reflection' on performance.
