Farm Machine 2040
This set of resources provide a series of four activities based around teaching of simple machines, including: forces, levers, gears and pulleys. Designed to help children to think about the day to day issues faced by farmers, these activities include:
- Exploring how farmers use machinery reliant on friction, to help them do their jobs – children investigate friction
- Investigating how levers, gears and pulleys are used in farm machinery
- Creating their own future farm machine whilst applying their understanding to a persuasive advert selling their design
