Building Blocks in History

This maths/history scheme of work from Badger began as a joint project between a Key Stage Three Strategy Consultant and a Head of History, with the intention of improving practice within a history department. This scheme of work does not claim to solve all of these problems but it does seek to alleviate some of them. This is a ‘ready-made’ scheme of work, intended to save fellow practitioners hours of work, and enabling them to use it and adapt it within their own departments as they choose.

Why Britain 1500–1750? The authors felt somewhat dissatisfied with this unit and the schemes of work that they had used previously. Whilst they had taught many lessons that had worked incredibly well, as a unit it never quite seemed to gel, losing steam somewhere around the Civil War!
