All about Telescopes

Produced by ESERO-UK, these short video clips look at a range of different telescopes and give advice and guidance on choosing a telescope for your school, as well as advice on how to make use of remote telescopes in school and also include an introduction to the Hubble Space Telescope. Presented by William Taylor of the Royal Observatory, Edinburgh, the videos are:

* How to use a simple 70mm refractor telescope in school.

* Remote telescopes for schools.

* Basic reflector telescope.

* Advanced, motor-driven reflector telescope.

* Hubble Space Telescope.

The accompanying paper was written by Paul Roche with support from the Institute of Physics, and discusses some of the things to consider when purchasing a telescope for your school.
