Gender Equality

Produced by the former Department for Children, Schools and Families, this guide supports the delivery of Diplomas. It explores ways to encourage both male and female learners to consider qualifications and careers that are not typical to their gender. It suggests activities that consortia can carry out to engage and support young people so that they can make choices based on their interests and aptitudes, rather than their gender.

The guide gives an overview of gender equality issues and includes real examples of how schools and colleges are tackling these issues and promoting gender equality through Diploma delivery.
