Calculator Activities

The activities in this booklet from the National Numeracy Strategy make use of a calculator as a teaching and learning aid. They are intended to help children in Key Stage Two understand and practise mathematical ideas and skills. They range from 'Words' where students enter numbers from oral prompts, through puzzles and calculations to investigations finding the largest and smallest number that can be made from a set of digits and finding a general rule, and games such as Nim.

Number patterns based around divisibility by eleven, space invaders, decimal mazes and missing operations complete the booklet.
