10 – 4 – 10

These resources were designed by the National Strategies as Year Nine Easter holiday resources in preparation for Key Stage Three SATS. The target group is level four to five borderline students. The exercises were intended to be done every weekday of the holidays (10 days) with ten minutes spent on each set (hence the 10-4-10).

The questions are:
Day 1: Mental questions, car parking, numbers
Day 2: Mental questions, survey, triangles
Day 3: Mental questions, plan a trip growing shapes
Day 4: Mental questions, probability, travel
Day 5: Mental questions, percentages, volume
Day 6: Mental questions, areas, expressions
Day 7: Mental questions, dropping litter data handling, volume
Day 8: Mental questions, volume and mass, place value
Day 9: Mental questions, sequences rules, metric/imperial conversions
Day 10: Mental questions, areas, probability
