Malaria Challenge: Big Debate

Produced by the Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute, these materials are designed to be used in conjunction with the Malaria Challenge materials (also included in this collection on the eLibrary). Students use the Malaria Challenge resource to research one of five different stages of the malaria cycle. In groups they discuss the biology behind the chosen stage, identify different intervention methods that are used to target that stage in the parasite life cycle and discuss the pros and cons of these interventions. Groups combine their findings from to discuss and identify how strategies targeting different stages can be used alone or in combination to manage or eradicate malaria.
