Enterprising Mathematics
Enterprising Mathematics, produced by the Spode Group, is a collection of problems designed to encourage mathematics to be taught through real life situations for example: sports, money and travel.
Each chapter begins with a short introduction presenting ideas for class discussions on the topic. The idea throughout this text is to integrate mathematics into everyday life, and this would inevitably involve discussion, debate, and even argument!
The chapter continues by posing a number of problems, related to the topic, for students to tackle.
The second part of the book gives answers to the problems set in Part 1, although for many problems precise answers cannot be given.
