Pushing and Pulling

This resource from Teachers TV shows real-life examples of forces at work. Suitable as a lesson starter for Key Stage One, it demonstrates the physics behind pushing and pulling objects. Primary children can follow Jake and Dan as they go canoeing, demonstrating a variety of pulling and pushing actions along the way. They pull on wetsuits, push the canoe into the water, and pull and push their paddles through the water. Children are then asked to count the number of pushes and pulls they see throughout the clip.
