Adding: Numbers and Money

This series of excel sheets look at column addition of whole numbers and money.

The first interactive sheet contains four questions on adding three- and two-digit numbers. Answers can be revealed and a new series of questions can be generated at the click of a button.

The second sheet contains four questions in which students are to add together series of monetary values, including three-digit whole numbers and values with two decimal places. Again answers can be revealed and a new series of questions can be revealed at the click of a button.

The third sheet contains five addition questions. Students have to set out the three values, each with two decimal places, in a column before adding them together.

The final sheet gives students another set of five questions, this time the values have a variety of decimal places to align.

Note:

This program was designed to be viewed on a screen with a resolution of 1024 x 768. Users may have to adjust the resolution of their screen for the pages to display as was originally intended. The program uses macros which need to be enabled on the users' machine.
