Growth and Decay

This resource is an interactive excel program to enable students to investigate exponential growth and decay. The topics of the interactive sheets are depreciation, exponential growth of bacteria and half life and radioactive decay.

Each of the interactive sheets shows the graph of the function and there are questions in order to check understanding.

The resource also has three sheets of questions suitable for duplication and use in the classroom. These are about equivalence of simple fractions and percentage, percentage change, compound interest and other examples of exponential growth or decay.

Note
This program was designed to be viewed on a screen with a resolution of 1024 x 768. Users may have to adjust the resolution of their screen for the pages to display as was originally intended. The program uses macros which need to be enabled on a machine.
