Interest: Simple and Compound

The first interactive sheet shows a calculator for Simple Interest where the amount invested, the rate of interest and the term can be altered. The next sheet shows sets of five questions on Simple Interest to be answered with the help of calculators. Answers can be revealed and new questions generated.

The next interactive sheet shows the Compound Interest formula and calculator where the amount invested, the rate of interest and the term can be altered. This is followed by a sheet showing sets of five questions on Compound Interest to be answered with the help of calculators.

The final interactive sheet deals with the question as to whether there is any advantage in having interest added more frequently. This leads towards the constant e.

There are a further two sheets of questions which may be suitable for use in the classroom.

This program was designed by be viewed on a screen with a resolution of 1024 x 768. Users may have to adjust the resolution of their screen for the pages to display as was originally intended. The program uses macros which need to be enabled on users' machines.
