Force of gravity

Produce by the Royal Observatory Greenwich, this booklet provides a brief overview of Newton’s law of gravitation, speed, distance and time, standard form and cosmological units. A description of Newton’s law of gravitation is supported by an online video that discusses the end of the Universe. This is followed by questions and answers that test understanding of the physical concepts and equations introduced. The booklet could be given to students or used by teachers to support teaching. Whilst the resource is aimed at key stage 4 students, the video included could be used to engage and introduce ideas to students at key stage 3.
