Particle physics
This resource looks at a researcher who investigates the particle tracks at CERN. Understanding the properties of elementary particles such as quarks like ‘charm’ and ‘strange’ and how they interact with other particles can help us understand why it took so long in the Hunt for the Higgs Boson.
An ideal resource to use with A-level students who wish to gain a deeper understanding of particle physics, apply it to a relevant context and to see where physics is heading in the future
