Spacecraft structures engineer
This video presents Abbie Hutty, a spacecraft structures engineer who currently works on the X Mars Rover mission. Abbie emphasises the fact that it is a very sociable career, as it requires working with specialists from different departments. Abbie was inspired to become an engineer by her teacher. At school, Abbie enjoyed art and design as well as maths and physics. After her GCSE's, she became interested in the aerospace industry and decided to pursue a career in engineering. Abbie’s piece of advice for anyone considering a career in engineering is ‘don’t stop studying maths and physics as they always come in useful’.
