Big Schools' Birdwatch Games
This resource, suitable for primary learners, contains a colouring sheet to aid learning about the parts of a bird and two games which support the identification of birds. The ‘top trumps’ style game helps with the identification of common birds, looking at various characteristics and facts about the birds. A second matching pairs game provides cards of various common birds.
This activity is part of the Big Schools’ Birdwatch pack, provided by the RSPB. This event is run annually and schools are encouraged to take part, however the activities may also be used independent of the larger survey at other times of the year.
