Data Collection

This STEAM activity gives pupils the opportunity to set up a weather station, using recycled materials and to collect data over a period of 1-4 weeks. The resources gives instructions to support with the making of an anemometer, windsock, compass and a rain gauge. Throughout these activities pupils will expand their understanding of climate change and have the opportunity to design a ‘being green’ poster for the classroom. This resource is part of a series of STEAM activities produced by Rolls Royce and links well with the LKS2 science, maths and design technology curriculum.
