Core maths - EVolution of vehicle sales

EV refers to Electric Vehicles and in this lesson pupils explore data, statistics, graphs and infographics related to road traffic and emissions from cars in the UK. They will critique graphs, read scales and calculate percentages looking at trends in vehicle registrations and proportions of types of newly registered vehicles over time.

Pupils will also analyse and compare data in order to develop and present a conclusion, reflecting on the implications for misleading representations of data and considering the implications of the ban on new petrol and diesel cars by 2030 and the questions the increase in electric vehicles may raise.
