A2 science in society

Comprehensive and accessible coverage of the AQA specification. Formerly Science for Public Understanding, Science in Society is a unique A Level course giving arts and humanities students the opportunity to broaden their A Level curriculum, and science students the opportunity to reflect on their specialist studies in a wider context.

Written by a team of experienced teachers and examiners and fully endorsed by AQA, this highly illustrated A2 course book builds on the scientific explanations and ideas about how science works covered in the AS course.

It covers the knowledge and skills needed to explore key issues relating to today's science and technology. Topic content is linked to interview features offering relevant insights into the lives of current working scientists, and in-text and review questions help students engage with issues and promote discussion. Endorsed by AQA, this book is supported by a free website hosted by the Nuffield Curriculum Centre providing valuable student and teacher support.
