This CPD day aims to give you a range of practical activities you can do in the classroom to engage children using items that you can obtain in the supermarket.

Outcomes

By the end of this session you will be able to

  • plan safe and stimulating practical science activities for children that enable them to make links to everyday life
  • have a bank of supermarket science ideas for practical science lessons relating to the primary science curriculum
  • appreciate how the use of familiar supermarket items can help children to relate science learning to the real world
