Teachers Evaluating and Assessing Mathematics (TEAM): Section 3 - Changing the Climate

In Section 3 of the Teachers Evaluating and Assessing Mathematics (TEAM) project, produced by the Mathematics Centre at the University of Chichester, teachers discuss what they perceive to be an extended piece of work, and attempt to define the labels 'course work', 'projects' and 'write ups'.

During the course of the discussions questions such as "How do I introduce a project?", "What will happen if students have greater control over their work?", "Will I cover the syllabus?" and "How much preparation do I need to do?" arose.

The experiences of the teachers involved are recorded and should prove useful to other teachers interested in these issues.
