Exploring Graphs with Year 9

This video resource from Teachers TV features a group of mathematics teachers, from Bromley in south east London, who are working to incorporate innovative Assessment for Learning (AfL) techniques into their teaching. Caroline Price, teacher of mathematics at Ravensbourne School in Bromley, delivers a lesson on graphs, equations and coordinates to a class of Year Nine students using new AfL techniques for the first time. Students are expected to draw upon their knowledge to complete tasks with minimal support from the teacher, prompting them to extend their mathematical thinking.
